A NATIVE CALIFORNIAN, JERRY WHINERY came to the Central Coast more than 18 years ago after having fallen in love with the area during frequent visits. Jerry’s, and his wife Gail’s, love of open space and friendly people greatly influenced their decision to locate here. Their home in rural Creston reflects an animal-friendly lifestyle maintaining 4 dogs, 4 cats, and legions of wild creatures, large and small.

While raising three children in the busy Los Angeles County area, Jerry enjoyed participating in community-wide youth service activities, including serving as District Governor of an international men’s service organization. Flying, fishing, motorcycling, canine training, NASCAR and Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County are among his many and varied interests. Four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, while revealing his age, keep him thinking young. A celebrator of positive thoughts, Jerry is a firm believer that attitude strongly influences outcome.
